Server Update

  I was informed that most of the downloads on the site no longer worked, this has been fixed. The problem was due to changing the server software from Windows based to Linux, which is case sensitive. All I had to do was rename some stuff.

  This is just a generic update, but it's better than nothing. First off, I'm gonna send a big thanks out to =TR= virago22{EP}(LDR) for trying so hard to keep our squad alive. Being the leader(or having been), that should have been my main focus but it's great that we have people so dedicated and willing to keep working for something that seems lost.

  Other than that, I'm slowly trying to get a new (and much needed) website design up and I'm also working on finishing up some old maps. Good luck with work and college WoFe!

Small update

  I fixed a small problem with the Winamp skin. It should be just fine now, and it works with Winamp version 5.1 without any known problems so far. You can download the updated skin on the TR files page

Maps and Junk

  Ok, I've fixed some small problems in TDM_Takeover and TDM_Rush. The updated maps are on the TR Files page, you can download them by themselves or in the map pack, either works. On a side note, we've implemented a new map version system. I think I'll tell you all about it!

  It's nothing big, just a way to keep things more organized. Maps will have a version number and a date in their .CS file, this is not to be confused with the map pack version number on the file name.

Example:

  Version 2.0 of TR_Generic_Map will have 2.0 as the version name in the .cs file, but TR_Generic_Map is also part of Generic Map Pack version 2.5 it will have P2.5 (short for pack version 2.5) on the end of the zip file name to show it's association with the pack. So to put it short, the file downloaded would be TR_Generic_Map_P2.5, but the map itself is 2.0

Server Status
  I THINK I've figured out the server problem we've been having lately, it should be up and running fine within the next few days. If anyone has any problems with it (lag, getting kicked, crashing, etc.), please send an email to webmaster@TerranRenegades.8m.com.

  I removed the chosshair, it got kinda annoying and caused problems with Mozila, if everyone really really wants it back I can put it back, but I feel it's for the better.

  I'm currently in the process of getting a fast functional dedicated Starsiege server up and running. So far it's doing ok, but the current setup has a few technical problems, so it's not as good as it should be.

  Please, log in to the new =TR= server and play for a while, then give us your feedback, if you experience any lag, get disconnected or have any other problem with it, post on our forum or send an email to webmaster@TerranRenegades.8m.com.

  Well, it's been quite a while since I've updated the website as you can see by the very old date on the last update. I could give you the full story of reasons why I haven't added new content, I could tell you why nothing has changed, I could even tell you why I haven't taken the time to add a new poll, but I won't. No my friend, I don't really feel like telling you at all. However, I will tell you one reason. I was waiting for Sword (=TR= Sword {*****}) to send me his "weekly update" but after a few weeks of constantly checking my email with nothing from him I sort of figured he wasn't gonna send me one.

  However, in case you were wondering, I did get several emails from companys claiming they could lower my debt, even though I have none. I can only assume they have the wrong person, I send them reply emails explaining my current financial situation in full detail then proceed to tell them to redirect their electronic mail to the needy person it was intended for, but they never reply, not even a thank you. Some people are so rude. I pray the one of many .....hypothetical billions of flaming pandas they have mistaken me for gets a their "important message" as well as a better job. I'm starting to think all of these messages from total strangers are what they call "spam mail", but that's just too crazy to believe. Afterall, we all know spam mail is just one of those stories made up to scare young children. Just thinking how something so horrible could even possibly exist is without a question, the dumbest thing ever. Untill then I shall continue on my life long quest to get that poor soul his email so his debt can rest in peace!

  In other news, it's thursday, the 27th of november! That's right everyone, it's Thanksgiving, so...HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Now I realise not everyone celebrates this so-called American holiday, so I apologize if my previous comment offended anyone, but, as you all know, I care greatly for other cultures. So for those of you who care nothing for the village people, or some rock that was obviously named after a popular automobile manufacturer..... HAPPY THURSDAY!

  On a totally unrelated in any way side note, I found a very useful, and 100% free computer operating system, all you need to do is burn it to a CD and boom! Bootable CD based OS that runs in the ram! It's quite useful, check out http://www.dynebolic.org/ and read up more there. This OS has the =TR= Enforcer seal of approval. So if you have a CD burner and a fast internet connection, go download it right now! Did I mention it comes with an incredibly l33t Tron lightcycle game? That alone should be enough to get you to give it a try.

  That's all I have to say for today, I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving (and Thursday!), remember to wash your hands before dinner. Now, a moment of silence for the billons of turkeys who sacrificed their lives to make this day possible.
